Ans: The invisible man, Griffin, became visible when he stepped into mud and his footprints were seen by two boys. Later, he made himself visible by wearing clothes, a hat, and bandages to cover his invisible body.

Q2. Why was he wandering the streets?

Ans: Griffin was wandering the streets because he had no clothes, no money, and no shelter. He had burnt down his landlord’s house and was trying to survive while being invisible.

Q3. Why does Mrs. Hall find the scientist eccentric?

Ans: Mrs. Hall finds the scientist (Griffin) eccentric because he arrived in winter, fully covered in clothes and bandages, spoke very little, and stayed alone in his room doing strange experiments.
